Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority has released an official advertisement notification for the recruitment of 14 Nos of vacancies including Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical), Assistant Architect, Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical), Junior Engineer (Architecture) under the establishment of Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority, Statfed building, GMCH Road, Bhangagarh, Guwahati. Online applications are invited from the intending eligible candidates who are citizens of India having Registration Number in Employment Exchange in the State of Assam for filling up the following vacancies as indicated below

1) Name of the Post: Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical)
No. of post: Civil 5, Electrical 1.
Category: UR 2, OBC/MOBC 2, ST(P) 1, SC 1
Qualification & Experience: # Civil Engineer: The candidate should be B.E. / B. Tech. / Equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Also require minimum of 1-year of work experience in respective fields of specialization in Govt. or Non Govt. Sector (within permanent / contractual capacity).
# Electical Engineer: The candidate should be B.E. / B. Tech. / Equivalent in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. Also require minimum of 1-year of work experience in respective fields of specialization in Govt. or Non Govt. Sector (within permanent / contractual capacity).
Age limit: Maximum age should be 38 years on the 1st January of the year of recruitment (Age relaxation will be given as per state Govt. Rules)
Salary: Rs.30000/- to Rs.110000/- PM plus Grade Pay Rs.12700/-
2) Name of the Post: Assistant Architect
No. of post: 1 (One)
Category: OBC/MOBC
Qualification & Experience: The candidate should be B.E. / B. Tech. / Equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Also require minimum of 1-year of work experience in respective fields of specialization in Govt. or Non Govt. Sector (within permanent / contractual capacity).
Age limit: Maximum age should be 38 years on the 1st January of the year of recruitment (Age relaxation will be given as per state Govt. Rules)
Salary: Rs.30000/- to Rs.110000/- PM plus Grade Pay Rs.12700/-
3) Name of the Post: Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical)
No. of post: 6 (Six)
Category: UR 3 (RFW 1), OBC/MOBC 1, ST(P) 1, SC 1
Qualification & Experience: # Civil Engineer: The candidate should be 3 yrs. Diploma in Civil Engineering / Equivalent from a recognized polytechnic college or institute. Also a minimum of 1-year of work experience in respective fields of specialization in Govt. or Non Govt. Sector (within permanent / contractual capacity).
# Electrical Engineer: The candidate should be 3 yrs. Diploma in Civil Engineering / Equivalent from a recognized polytechnic college or institute. Also a minimum of 1-year of work experience in respective fields of specialization in Govt. or Non Govt. Sector (within permanent / contractual capacity).
Age limit: Maximum age should be 38 years on the 1st January of the year of recruitment (Age relaxation will be given as per state Govt. Rules)
Salary: Rs.14000/- to Rs.49000/- PM plus Grade Pay Rs.8700/-
4) Name of the Post: Junior Engineer (Architecture)

Qualification & Experience: The candidate must have 3 years Diploma in Architect Engineering / Architectural Assistantship / Equivalent from a recognized institute. Also a minimum of 1-year of work experience in respective fields of specialization in Govt. or Non Govt. Sector (within permanent / contractual capacity).
Age limit: Maximum age should be 38 years on the 1st January of the year of recruitment (Age relaxation will be given as per state Govt. Rules)
Salary: Rs.14000/- to Rs.49000/- PM plus Grade Pay Rs.8700/-
How to apply GMDA Recruitment 2022
1) Candidates are required to apply in prescribed form through online mode only. No other mode for submission of application is allowed. Instructions for filling up prescribed online form will be available in website – gmda.niyuktiportal.in
2) Before applying online, candidates are advised to carefully go through the instructions provided in the above website. Candidates are required to upload:
a) A latest passport size photograph
b) Admit Card/Certificate of HSLC examination.
c) Qualifying Examination Certificate and Mark sheet.
d) Experience Certificate.
e) Scanned Signature.
f) Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
g) Caste Certificate (in case of reserved category candidates.)
h) Declaration in Form “A” under rule 5(1) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019. Specimen Copy is available in the website gmda.niyuktiportal.in
3) Note: No other document i.e. the hard copy of the online application form, registration slip etc.are required to be sent to GMDA.
4) Since the applications are submitted online, the question of submission of applications through proper channel in case of the candidates already employed becomes redundant. However, such candidates shall intimate their appropriate appointing authorities about submission of application in writing.
5) The candidates already employed should note that the prerogative for according permission to appear in Written Examination / join services on being selected by GMDA in due course of time shall rest upon the appropriate authority. GMDA shall not be anyway responsible / accountable in the event of not according permission to appear in the written examination/join service after selection.
How to selection of GMDA Recruitment 2022
1) There shall be two phases in the selection process:
#Phase I: The Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in an objective type written test to be held in Guwahati on a date to be notified later on in websitegmda.niyuktiportal.in
#Phase II: Against each vacancy, 3 candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test. After the written test, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear in a Personal Interview to be held in Guwahati. Total marks for the Personal Interview will be 20 Marks.
Application Fee: a) Rs. 250/- for SC/ST category candidate.
b) Rs. 500/- for all other category candidate.
Fees should be paid online via the payment link while submitting the online application. Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fees be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
