DLSA Majuli has released an official advertisement notification for the recruitment of Peon, who are citizens of India as defined in Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India in Standard Form as published in Part-IX of the Assam Gazette, for engagement of 1(one) no. of Peon on contractual basis for the office of the District Legal Services Authority. Eligible and interested candidates may apply through offline mode.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: The candidates must possess the minimum educational qualification of Class VIII standard, and those who have passed HSSLC or above shall not be eligible to apply for the said post.
SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process will be held in one phase, i.e. through interview/Viva-voce.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
i. Candidates must submit relevant testimonial/certificate and’ 4(four) recent passport sized photographs along with the application should be addressed to The Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Majuli, Circuit House Campus, Garmur, Majuli Pin-785104. The name of the post should clearly be mentioned at the top of the envelop as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF PEON (contractual)”. Providing of contact numbers with e-mail id is compulsory. However, candidates have to produce their original testimonials regarding educational qualifications, date of birth, caste, working experience etc. at subsequent stages when asked for.
ii. In appropriate cases, relaxation of age will be admissible as per the existing rules of the Government of Assam.
iii. One self- addressed envelope of 5cm x 11cm affixing postal stamp of Rs. 5 (Five) is to be enclosed with the application along with a valid mobile number, if any.
iv. The admission of candidates at all stages of the selection process will be purely provisional and subject to satisfying the prescribe eligibility conditions. The application will be subject to scrutiny at every stage and shall be rejected if any defect is detected.
v. The date, time and venue of the interview/viva-voce will be notified in due time which will be published in the Notice Board and official Website of this office. The candidates are advised to keep checking the website of Jorhat District Judiciary.
vi. The list of provisional candidates with allotted Roll Numbers will be published in the official website of Jorhat District Judiciary i.e. www.jorhatjudiciary.gov.in for the candidates’ reference.
vii. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for appear in the Interview/Viva-voce.
viii. Candidates who are already in Government Service (Central State or PSU) may apply through proper channel. They shall have to produce “No Object on Certificate” from the present employer at the time of document verification and they will have to submit a release order at the time of joining.
ix. An application form which is incomplete in any respect, such as, without photograph and signature, is liable to be rejected summarily.
x. Information submitted by an applicant in his/her application will bind the candidate and if found to be false, His her candidature will be cancelled forthwith and he/she shall be liable for criminal prosecution.
xi. The candidate will be responsible for any mistake made by him/her in the application form and this office shall not be responsible or liable in any way.
xii. If any candidate is found canvassing directly or indirectly, his/her candidature will be rejected.
xiii. The Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Jorhat-cum Chairman, District Legal services Authority, Majuli reserves the right to cancel, alter or modify the advertisement or other terms and conditions of the advertisement without any prior notice.
xiv. The selection will be made purely on contractual basis.
xv. All other matters which are not specifically provided in this advertisement shall be decided by the Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Jorhat-cum Chairman, District Legal services Authority, Majuli.
